Hear What Our Clients Are Saying...

"I worked with Lawrence Wollin for several months on and off during the school year. His role was as a substitute Special Education aide in my Resource room at Bahia Vista ES. During those months, Lawrence worked closely with all of the students on my caseload, assisting with administering lessons, facilitating student independent work, and supporting with student self-regulation as needed. Lawrence was reliable and easy to work with. He was calm and friendly with the students and staff. He always had a positive attitude. He was a pleasure to work with."

"Lawrence brings to the classroom over 25 years of professional experience in business development, which gives him a mature, real-world perspective and a unique ability to translate complex ideas into accessible concepts. At Charles Schwab, he was known not only for his deep understanding of difficult financial material but also for his ability to teach it—often drawing on the whiteboard to help colleagues master abstract content. This natural gift for teaching has been a throughline in his career.

He served as an instructor at the San Francisco Wharton School, and more recently, as a STEM teacher at a parochial school in Novato for two years. For the past four years, he has worked as a substitute teacher across multiple Marin County school districts, including general education and Special Education classrooms, supporting students from transitional kindergarten through high school. His flexibility, patience, and insight allow him to connect meaningfully with students across a wide range of abilities and needs.

Mr. Wollin is exceptionally effective with students who require extra attention. He regularly volunteers to work one-on-one with students who are struggling or simply need a bit more support. Colleagues consistently remark on his kindness, professionalism, and commitment to helping all students thrive. His presence in a classroom is steady, dependable—you can quite literally “set your watch by him.” He is a man of substance, character, and integrity, and he brings those qualities into every learning environment he enters.

Perhaps most importantly, Lawrence has an unwavering belief in the potential of every student. Whether leading a class or working in a support role, he fosters a space where students feel safe, valued, and capable of learning. His calm demeanor and long patience are especially valuable in working with students with special needs, and I have no doubt he will be an asset in any such classroom.

I am confident that Lawrence Wollin will not only meet but exceed your expectations. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if I can provide additional insight into his qualifications or character."

"Mr. Wollin took over my position as the classroom teacher in the special day class at Tamalpais High School. I had the opportunity to mentor and observe him. Lawrence supported students with moderate to severe needs, including but not limited to their health and physical (medical, mobility, hygiene and self-care) cognitive, behavioral and emotional well-being. He also facilitated inclusion opportunities, from Unified Sports tournaments to 1:1 peer mentors and everything in-between.

He supported and fostered students from different classroom settings to bridge gaps in academic, social, and communication skills between the Special Education students and their General Education peers. Lawrence’s seeming unlimited supply of compassion, kindness and understanding is genuine, and quite impressive. He was coachable, responsible, friendly, insightful and a real team player. His contributions helped make every person, in every situation, feel safe and more engaged and therefore, the activity more meaningful.

Mr. Wollin is one of the most positive, most thoughtful and caring individuals that I have ever worked
with. He has shown an unwavering dedication to his students and fellow staff members. I highly
recommend him."
